8-14 Weeks Old Laying Hens
At 8 to 14 weeks old, young female chickens (called pullets) are in their late adolescent growth stage. They are fully feathered and nearly full-sized, but they are not yet laying eggs. Egg production typically begins around 18 to 24 weeks of age, meaning you are still about 4 to 10 weeks away from your first eggs
